Three Dental Specialties Under One Roof
Stafford Oral Surgery & Specialists brings together three dental specialties in one location: oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontics, and endodontics.
Each of our doctors completed a full residency after dental school in their own specialty and practices exclusively within that field. Patients receive care from a doctor whose training is focused on their specific problem, with the added benefit that when a case involves more than one specialty, the consultation happens down the hall.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Amber Hurley Johnson is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with advanced hospital-based training in surgery, medicine, and anesthesia. She provides wisdom tooth removal, coronectomy, dental implant placement, tooth extraction, bone grafting, sinus lifts, treatment of impacted teeth, oral and jaw biopsy, frenectomy, and office-based anesthesia.

Periodontics
Dr. Eleni Kanasi is a board-certified periodontist who focuses on the health of the gums, bone, and tissues that support the teeth and dental implants.
Her care includes treatment of gum disease, gum recession, peri-implant disease, soft-tissue and bone management, implant therapy, and other conditions involving the supporting structures of the teeth.

Endodontics
Dr. Ashraf Eid is an endodontist who focuses on diagnosing and treating disease involving the inside of the tooth and the tissues surrounding the roots.
Using a dental operating microscope for every procedure, he provides root canal treatment, retreatment, root-end surgery, management of the endodontic consequences of dental trauma, and other treatment intended to preserve natural teeth.
Working Together on Shared Cases
Our doctors each practice within their own specialty, but they consult one another directly when a case calls for it — when there is a question about whether a tooth can be saved, when an infection may be coming from inside the tooth or from the gum and bone around it, when soft-tissue or bone treatment is needed alongside another procedure, or when a patient’s medical history or surgical complexity warrants a second specialty opinion.
For patients, this usually means fewer separate trips, less time spent moving records between offices, and a treatment plan that accounts for the whole picture.
Care Centered on the Individual Patient
Specialty care is not one-size-fits-all.
Recommendations are based on your diagnosis, medical history, imaging, anatomy, treatment goals, and individual risk factors. Our doctors take time to explain what they found, what the options are, and what recovery looks like, so you can make an informed decision.

Advanced Technology and Treatment Planning
Our practice uses modern dental imaging and specialty-specific technology.
Depending on the doctor and the procedure, this may include three-dimensional CBCT imaging, digital implant planning and surgical guides, and high-magnification microscopy for endodontic treatment.
For most dental implant cases performed by Dr. Johnson or Dr. Kanasi, a surgical guide is used to help translate the planned implant position into the surgical procedure.
Technology supports clinical judgment; it does not replace it. Our doctors use these tools when they provide information that actually changes a diagnosis or a plan.

Comfortable, Well-Organized Care
We understand that specialty dental treatment can feel stressful.
Our team works to make the process as straightforward as possible, from scheduling and consultation through treatment and follow-up. Anesthesia and comfort options vary by doctor and procedure and are chosen based on your needs and your safety.
